The Lonely Walker

I have seen you often
Walk on road full of stones that
You kick to the sides as
You’re dreaming about fortune

Passing barns, passing stables
The sparrows are fleeing
When they see you coming
Walking alone on
This ragged dirty road

Hey lonely walker
Hi lonely walker
Don’t cry lonely walker
Goodbye lonely walker

Lonely walker walks on by

By the side of the river
Passing fields, passing meadows
Twilight is falling
Darkness is rising

Hey lonely walker
Hi lonely walker
Don’t cry lonely walker
Goodbye lonely walker

Lonely walker walks on by

‘Cause all men seem stupid when nobody wants you
People seem cruel when you know no one
The rain that keeps falling makes your body freezing
Roads feel uneven when you walk them alone

But hey lonely walker
Hi lonely walker
Don’t cry lonely walker
You’ll see lonely walker
In time lonely walker
Tears dry lonely walker

Walking lonely through a life
