My Princess

I have my very own princess
A princess who is with me every day
She’s a princess that you won’t find in a fable
She is quite real and she is walking next to me

My princess isn’t living in a castle
She lives in a tiny flat at the edge of town
Her father’s not the king of some old country
She doesn’t have that much of pedigree
But still she is the only ruler of my world

My princess doesn’t dress in fancy dresses
She most often wears a tee and worn-out jeans
She doen't fancy goose liver and stuffed swan
She likes pasta with a lot of catsup on
And she doesn’t wish to go shop on Champs-Elysées
She wants to play computer games and watch anime

She’s not skinny like the princess on the movie screen
She’s got lots of soft and very cuddly curves
There’s not a single ounce of botox in her warm smile
And she doesn’t smell like lilacs or like roses
Yet her smell is the one smell I like the most

Her life is always in a sort of disarray
Living life mostly from one day to next
And she has said to me that she confesses
That she really doesn’t give a crap about much at all
And she doesn’t have a lot of fancy things she own
But there is this one thing that she will always have
And that one single thing, that is my love

She isn’t timid, gentle or well-mannered
She can become real mad and she screams at me a lot
And she doesn’t mind too much about her bodily functions
And she’s the most a amazing woman that I know
And my princess doesn’t want me to slay dragons
She just want me to be there for her
And to always be her trusting hand to hold

No, my princess is not like those in the fairytales
She’s much better and she’s real and she’s with me
